1.) I DON'T take requests or submissions. You can e-mail me with ideas, if the idea interests me I may consider it. But don't expect anything. Now, I've warned everyone about the Stay-Big bodies not working in any of the expansion packs beyond House Party. But if you still want to use the skin, and want to take a crack at converting a skin for your use only follow the directions at this link --> How to convert. |

Well I finally said screw it. It's been two months since I sent Mirage Studios the message regarding the Ninja Turtle skins here, and they still haven't sent me a reply. Now they might not have received the message, which I doubt. Or they could've not cared, but I figure that at least would call for a response as well (like the View Askew message). I mean, even if I get a message from the same guy repeatedly asking for a skin, and have already said no, I still respond, but I guess I just respect fans more than some people. Oh, and just in case you're wondering, no I didn't receive any messages from anyone else on the list, so there goes that. So, without further ado (and I really hope this doesn't piss Mirage off) APRIL O'NEIL. She's a Stay-Big, she come with all the uniforms, her formal is based on one of the outfits she wore in the first movie, and the others are made up. She's had a long time coming, but she's finally here for you guys. Oh, and I shouldn't have to mention this (since it is written in the rules) but Hot Date/Unleashed/etc. etc. users beware, there is a link at the end of the rules section that will take you to an explanation on how to convert the skins. Unfortunately I didn't get another skins finished, but I did make progress on some. I updated the preview section, oh, and if you didn't notice the main site pic as well to include VARNEL and CHASTITY. Neither of those skins are finished, but since the normal wear was, I figured I could throw them into a new pic. And if it wasn't obvious, the pic is a parody of the Sopranos.
08.10.03 Thought you guys would like a few previews of the stuff I've been working on. So at right is the new GREEN LANTERN costume, and for my original set, previously Ikon's protégé and now his nemesis, VARNEL a techno-mage. Also included in the project section, preview pics of these two as well as Knives, April, and a new Lobo. But these aren't finished (except April), I do plan on adding a spikey haircut to GL, a set of shoulder-pad meshes to Knives, and a coat, spikes and chain to Lobo. And since skinning has been going well as of late, also on the agenda: I started making meshes for a Stay-Big Chewbacca, started Wolfwood, and will start Milly, and Meryl. And I plan on finishing Chastity (an original, not the Chaos version) soon as well. Plus I want to make a set of Green Lanterns, but other than the one above they will be alien species, not the like the previous GLs, like the skins at DarkJared and Chris Anderson's sites. And to finish off the Green Lanterns, a Fatality skin. And finally, I haven't gotten any more responses to the mail I sent out to the compaines I mentioned in the last update. I mean, I did notify them, and waited a good month for responses. So if I dont get a response pretty soon from Mirage Stuidos, I'm gonna say screw it and put up APRIL O'NEIL with the next update.
07.05.03 And again, I'm forced to believe that no one reads this section, or next to no one. Right after I changed the site a little, I get about 20 e-mails saying: "How come I can't download them?" "Can you send me these?" "Am I doing something wrong?" And on the side of good news, here's some of the favorable mail I've been receiving: "If I want them taken down I'll be sure to let you know, okay? For the time being--as long as you say that the characters are created by and copyright me--I'm okay with it." "Hey, We ain't nearly as uptight as Marvel is - no problems here." "I have no problem and I'm am honored! My site is down at the moment but when it's back on line, check out www.robotbastard.com. Be sure to post your site in the forum. Also check out www.channel101.com for short dv movies by me and my friends.Technically Rob's message came second, but I figured since I'm about to comment on it, save it for last. Go and check out that movie site, it's pretty kick-ass. And since he said he felt honored, I decided that the Scud skin should be better yet. So for the one skin update today, an updated SCUD THE DISPOSABLE ASSASSIN. He's the same as before, no weapons, shouldn't change in appearance, stay-big body. And it's not like he's more special than the others, but the original SCUD skin wasn't quite up to par anymore. I think I've pretty well nailed how a normal looking person should look and a green skinned person isn't a far cry from that either, but the SCUD skin needed updating. So I left the old one up so the could be compaired, I think you'll notice a vast improvement. I'm still waiting to hear back from Top Cow Productions, Randy Queen, Mirage Studios, Joesph Linsner, and Mike Mignola. And they could decide to have me remove them, it's their right. So if you want any of the skins based on characters by these guys, you might want to download them. On a sad note, I did finish APRIL O'NEIL, but I said I'd wait to hear their answer before putting it up, so if Mirage Studios says no, she won't be released.
06.20.03 Hey folks. I already had a version of this typed up and posted here and after some thought, I'm changing it. If any of you who visit this site and don't know about what has happened this week to the Skindex, and want to understand why I'm taking content down from this site, follow this link here. And if you want to know a little more, the link to Marvel's letter is here. So anyway, because of all this crap, I had made all the links to the Marvel owned properties on this site dead, now they are gone. Now, Marvel could change their collective minds and allow us to skin their characters again, but since that doesn't look likely... I decided that I wouldn't want to have to deal with something like this again down the road, so I began e-mailing creators/owners of the different characters on this site. Now I'm not going to hit them all up with mail, but most, and here's the reasons:
Well I hope this has brought some insight into this situation, and although I know that Marvel is perfectly within their rights, I lost a little love for them recently. I don't expect anyone to do the same, since it's always up to you. -Ikon
